The language is something which is all the time changing, in fact, we don´t speak in the same way people used to do 100 years ago, and also we don’t speak in the same way people in Spain do even though we inherit the language of them. For me that clearly mean that the language is always evolving. I think that evolution must happen to make the things better; the problem about the way the language is changing today is that the language isn´t improving, instead of it, the language it’s been deformed in many ways and in my opinion the most impressive way it is been deformed is in the written language.
Nowadays when you are surfing on the web the most common thing is find a lot of words with bad spelling (most of them written by teenagers). In fact I think that when you are used to see and read the words with good spelling is difficult to interpret them when those are written incorrectly. A lot of teenagers change letters like the “zh” instead “s”, “k” instead “c” or “q”, “x” instead “ch”, etc. It seems to me that they think that the worst spelling they have the most interesting they are.
The main problem I see about the way those teenagers are used to write is that at some point of their lives they will need to write correctly, because I’m almost sure that nobody is going to hire someone with a resume written with a lot of mistakes because it reflect lack of professionalism. Furthermore I think that when you are used to write with bad spelling, when you try to do it in the correct way you will be dubious about what is the right way, y mean which are the correct letters.
I have been working for 3 and half years in Guadalajara. Before I moved there I used to live with my parents and I was a full time student. Now I love to be independent, I earn my own money and also spend it. I’m the one who decides what to do with my salary and I have realized that there are so many ways to use it, so definitely I must be careful with de way I spend it.
I really love to go shopping and buy beautiful clothes, shoes and accessories. After I buy the clothes I use it continuously, but after a while I stop wearing those things so I go and buy more new things. Sometimes I have buyer’s remorse and I wonder if buying this kind of things which has a very short useful life is a good idea.
Some days I think that I must save as much money as a can but after a while I wonder if it is a good idea to save money because in fact I don’t know what I’m going to do with it. I know that if I save enough money I will be able to afford important things like a car or a house but in this moment of my life that’s not my plan.
I wish I can travel to other countries but to do it obviously I need to have money for doing it. And there is another possibly way to spend money.
Of course I must spend my money in an intelligent way so definitely I won’t spend all I earn buying clothes but I won’t save every peso. The best strategy I can follow is maintaining a balance between how much I spend and how much I save.
Last year I had one of the most interesting experiences in my all life, I went to Europe. My brother went to Barcelona to study, so I went there to visit him. We wanted to visit other places besides Barcelona so we decided to take planes to Germany, Italy and France.
First we went to Berlin which is a very interesting city with a lot of history. We took a guided tour around the most important places of the city and for me it was very exciting to be in front of the places in which historical facts occurred. In fact this place exceeded my expectations because I didn’t know that there were a lot of interesting places to visit.
In Rome we visited a lot of beautiful places but the most significant places for me were the Trevi Fountain, the Coliseum and the Pantheon. After visiting those amazing places in Rome we went to the Vatican City. It is a place that I couldn’t miss because I’m Catholic, so we went and visited places like the St. Peter’s Square, the St. Peter’s Basilica, The dome of St. Peter’s, etc.
After Rome went to Paris which is a big city with a lot of culture I was amazed especially with 2 places: the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre Museum. The Eiffel Tower is so tall; I didn’t imagine how it would be to be stand up below it. The Louvre Museum is so big and with so many things to see that I could spend a week inside it.
Finally we went back to Barcelona and visited a lot of spectacular places like the Ramblas, the church of the Holy Family, the Park Güell, etc. In fact the Park Güell was one of my favorites places in Barcelona because for me was so relaxing been walking there.
I really enjoyed my vacations in Europe, actually I wish to return someday and visit other interesting places like Bruges, London, Venice, etc.
According to Wikipedia “Technology is the usage and knowledge of tools, techniques, crafts, systems or methods of organization in order to solve a problem or serve some purpose. The word technology comes from Greek τεχνολογία (technología); from τέχνη (téchnē), meaning “art, skill, craft”, and -λογία (-logía), meaning “study of-“. The term can either be applied generally or to specific areas: examples include construction technology, medical technology, and information technology”.
Technology can be used for positive things but unfortunately for negative things too. In my opinion one of the most positive uses of technology are medical technology and telecommunications. And definitely one of the most unethical uses of technology is in weapons of mass destruction.
Nowadays technology is a very important thing for a lot of people but unfortunately others don’t have access to it. In my case technology is a very familiar thing, I work in the central offices from a transnational company and every day I spend 9 hours in front of a computer. Without my computer connected to the network I can’t work because I need to use some systems for doing activities like: queries, solve user’s problems, etc.
Another basic thing for me in my job is IP telephony because we have coworkers in Brazil so I need to call them many times per day and with the IP technology we don’t pay the high costs of international calls.
In my daily life my favorite use of technology is internet; I spend a lot of time in facebook because is a very good way of be in touch with friends no matter the distance.
In my opinion a negative thing about technology is that makes the people lazy, for instance our grandparents were accustomed to do mental calculations in a fast way but most of us need to take our gadgets to do it. It is a problematic pattern because every day we are more dependents of technology. Finally I say that is important to be prudent in the use of technology.
When I was a child I used to go to some drawing classes in which a girl was my classmate. We used to have a very harmonious and beneficial friendship, but we grew up and both stopped going to the drawing classes so we drifted apart.
We studied the same but we didn’t keep up our friendship. Three years ago I ran into her in a bus and she told me that she was working in Guadalajara. By that time I was looking for a place in which I could do some practices for finishing my career so I talked to her about it. A week later she called me and told me that she had a job for me and that job I could do my practices but I had to start next Monday and obviously move to Guadalajara.
I was insecure about taking the job because I was still taking some classes in the school so I had to ask for permission to my teachers. I talked with the teachers and they let me continue with my classes on line so next Monday I went to my first day job.
Maricela stood up for me when I needed her. I moved to live to an apartment with her and fortunately we reconnected so we empathized very well.
Like a year later she had to leave her job and returned to Guzmán. Now she is working again in Guadalajara and we try to hang on together once in a while because we don’t want to drift apart again.
